FurFam Pet Care LLC, located in Crystal, MN, is a home-based business run by me, Mel Yackley, on a part-time basis.  Generally I serve pet guardians and their furry loved ones within a 10-mile radius of zip code 55429, to include Crystal, New Hope, St. Louis Park, Hopkins, Plymouth, Maple Grove, Brooklyn Center, Golden Valley, Robbinsdale, and some areas of Minneapolis. In some situations I am available outside of this area.

I have cared for pets my entire life, have fostered for a rescue group, and I have a young dog and three senior rescue cats of my own - note that my cats do NOT meet animals that are not permanent to our household and have their own safe space away from any dog(s).  I am experienced in supporting pets with varying needs, including active breeds, pets with special needs, and less traditional pets, such as rats.

Keeping pets safe and causing as little stress as possible for them and for you is my top priority.  I am patient in trying to work with pets who may have big feelings about new people in their space.  I am also experienced in working with dogs that are reactive.  It is an honor and my privilege to be trusted to care for animals.
